Newcomers Membership Luncheon Registration Deadline The Newcomers of Greater Park City’s September Membership Luncheon will be held at the Stein Eriksen Lodge on Tuesday, Sept. 8, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Registration deadline is Wednesday, Sept. 2. Tickets are $36 and checks, made out to Newcomers of Greater Park City, can be mailed to Anne Frank, 130 Matterhorn Dr., Park City, Utah 84098. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $41. Volunteers Needed for the Annual Navajo Rug Show Volunteers are needed to help with the 26th annual Navajo Rug Show and Sale that will be held on Nov. 6 to 8. A meeting for volunteers will be held at Park City Community Church, 4501 Highway 224, on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 5:30 p.m. Volunteers are vital for the success of the show ages 16 to 99 are welcome and appreciated. Howard Jones at the Egyptian Theatre Howard Jones will perform his acoustic concert at the Egyptian Theatre, 328 Main St., on Friday, Sept. 4, through Sunday, Sept. 6. The Friday and Saturday concerts will begin at 8 p.m. Sunday’s show will start at 6 p.m. Tickets range from $39 to $65 and can be purchased by visiting http://www.parkcityshows.com .
Star Party at the Swaner EcoCenter The Swaner EcoCenter, 1258 Center Dr. at Kimball Junction, will present its annual Star Party on Friday, Sept. 4, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The cost is $5 per person or free for Swaner EcoCenter members. Park City Area Home Builders Association’s Showcase of Homes The Park City Area Home Builders Association and Zions Bank present the finest in mountain homes and living at the 2015 Park City Area Showcase of Homes tour from Sept. 4 – 7. Free Concert at Canyons Village: Zach Deputy Canyons Village at Park City Mountain will present Zach Deputy on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 6 p.m. The concert is free. Deputy is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter based in Savannah, Georgia, and best known for his live looping shows. He has a diverse ethnic background, having Puerto Rican, Irish, African, British, French, and Cherokee heritage, which opens him to influence from Latin, Caribbean, and African music.
