South Summit Pool Maintenance
The South Summit Aquatics & Fitness Center, 350 E. 200 South, in Kamas, will temporarily close its pools for annual maintenance from Tuesday, Sept. 8, to Friday, Sept. 18. The pools will open to the public on Saturday, Sept. 19. For more information, visit http://www.ssummt.k12.ut.us/ssafc.cfm .
Registration for the Annual Dungeon Party
Park City Museum members can register now for the annual Dungeon Party that will be held at the museum, 528 Main St., on Wednesday, Sept. 16. The event will feature a variety of food and beverages from various Park City area restaurants. In honor of National Fall Hat Month, the evening will also feature prizes for the most creative and wacky hats. Current memberships can be renewed and new memberships can be purchased at the event. Author Event at Dolly’s Bookstore: Katie Mullaly and Ylan Lockwood
Dolly’s Bookstore, 510 Main St., will present an author event featuring Park City-based authors Katie Mullaly and Ylan Lockwood on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 2 p.m. Mullaly has published her first children’s book, "Land of Or," illustrated by Toby Allen. Lockwood, at 12, has published her first novel, "Through My Eye," a book about Fernando, a 2-year-old Bichon Frise pup, and Ivy, an 11-year-old girl. The event is free and open to the public. Friends of the Park City Library Used Book Sale
The Friends of the Park City Library Annual Labor Day Weekend Used Book Sale will be held on third floor of the Park City Library, 1255 Park Ave., from Saturday, Sept. 5, through Monday, Sept. 7. Saturday will be open from 9 am. to 10:30 a.m. for Friends of the Park City Library members and then open from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. to the general public. Sunday’s hours are from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Monday’s Bargain Bag Day Sale will be open from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Shoppers can bring a bag and fill for $5. Park Silly Sunday Market
The Park Silly Sunday Market will open on Historic Main Street on Sunday, Sept. 6, at 10 a.m. The ecofriendly, family-friendly, open-air market and street festival features unique and eclectic arts and crafts, music and performing arts, one-of-a-kind finds, delicious gourmet foods and locally grown fruits and vegetables. The Main Stage will feature Brian Ernst at 11 a.m. and Sin City Soul at 2 p.m. The Community Alley Stage will feature Zach Parish at 10 a.m. and Courtney Spaulding at 1 p.m. The Park Silly Sunday Market is open Sundays through Sept. 20.
