Uncorked will benefit Recycle Utah
The event will be held at the recycling center on Friday, July 17, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. at Recycle Utah, 1951 Woodbine Way.
The public is invited to enjoy local entertainment and support a local cause. Admission is $5.
The evening will feature live music by local favorites, including Utah-based power trio Darin Caine and The Hellhound Express that plays juke-joint Delta blues and Rocky Mountain rock ‘n’ roll with a Southern grind.
Opening for them will be local talent, Freeheelin’ and Andrew Cole.
Attendees should expect a full-on show with lots of dancing, hollering and cheer-sing with these lively up-beat musicians.
In addition, the event will feature meals from Clockwork Cafe, craft beers from Park City Brewery and spirits provided by Top Shelf.
The meals also cost $5, as do the drinks.
All proceeds will help Recycle Utah get a much-needed boost to continue offering glass recycling to Park City and Summit County.
Recycle Utah is Park City’s only non-profit community recycling center providing resource reallocation for more than 50 different items and a variety of conservation and educational programs for the area.
There has been an increased demand for glass recycling in Park City and the surrounding areas, yet it continues to be a low-value commodity. As a result, Recycle Utah is recycling more glass than ever, but at a high cost and with little return. Uncorked will help this local, non-profit recycling center do what it does best.
Instead of throwing away glass, residents can drop off their glass at Recycle Utah and conserve natural resources and landfill space.
Recycle Utah accepts all four colors of glass: green, blue, brown and clear. The glass is then recycled by Momentum Recycling in Salt Lake City.
Momentum will be at Uncorked for those who want to learn how glass is turned into new exciting things.
The evening’s sponsors include Mountain Town Music, Clockwork Cafe, Top Shelf Services, Park City Brewery and Park City Mountain Resort.
Recycle Utah, 1951 Woodbine Way, will present Uncorked on Friday, July 17, at 5 p.m. Parking is available in the adjacent lot thanks to Park City Mountain Resort. For more info., contact Recycle Utah at (435) 649-9698 or visit http://www.recycleutah.org .
