17-year-old drowns in Deer Creek Reservoir
A 17-year-old male drowned in Deer Creek Reservoir in Wasatch County Wednesday morning around 11 a.m. The teen was swimming from the seasonal island in the reservoir to the shore when he began to struggle according to Wasatch County Deputy Jeremy Hales. The body had been recovered but, as of Wednesday afternoon, no name or additional information had been released.
UPDATE: The drowning victim has been identified as Heber resident Kalem Franco, a Wasatch High School student.
A critic of a Park City workforce or otherwise affordable housing project in Old Town said he is considering an appeal of the Park City Planning Commission’s approval of the development.
