Abandoned car in Uintas leads to body
Late Sunday morning, Summit County Search and Rescue discovered a body in a ravine near Upper Setting Road in the Uintas. The body was found a mile and a half from an abandoned vehicle belonging to a 28-year-old Utah County man, Eduardo Rodriguez, who was reported missing on June 23.
U.S. Forest Service officials reported the vehicle had been parked for several days without paying the required fees.
According to Summit County Deputy Sheriff Justin Martinez, positive identification will be determined by the state medical examiner. The remains were located in a remote area and will be need to be airlifted out.
Martinez said there is no evidence of foul play.
