Alan Kosaka, 56, passed away December 11, 2008 after a yearlong battle with cancer. Alan, originally from Hawaii, was a resident of Park City for 10 years. As food and beverage and restaurant manager for several well-known Park City establishments, he was respected by his peers and patrons. Alan was an avid golfer and fisherman and loved living in Park City. He is survived by his wife, Debra, his brothers, Steven and Calvin, his sister, Lynn, and his parents, Masato and Fusaye.

A group of people that appeared to largely represent Park City’s development and real estate industries joined family members of the late United Park City Mines President Hank Rothwell on Wednesday as a road was named in his honor. It was a tribute to a key figure in the great growth battles of the 1990s.
