Alcohol calls logged on Main Street, Royal Street, Lowell Avenue

The Park City Police Department last week handled an unusually high number of drunkenness calls or reports of people drinking alcohol in public places, cases coming at a time when spring break crowds were in the city.

Some of the cases included:

  • on Saturday, March 10 at 1 a.m. a couple of intoxicated men were reported at a business on the 600 block of Main Street. They refused the leave and one of the men reportedly cut a worker with glass, the police were told.
  • on March 10 at 8:25 a.m., people, reported to be homeless, were seen drinking alcohol in a public restroom on Main Street. The police classified the case as intoxication, but public police logs did not provide details.
  • on Friday, March 9 at 10:48 p.m., the police received a report that people were drinking alcohol in the street along Royal Street. An investigating officer did not find anyone.
  • at 10:25 p.m., the police were called to a location along Royal Street, where someone reported up to 10 people were drinking beer. They were close to a bus stop, the police were told.
  • at 4:38 p.m., people were reported to be drinking in the concourse of a lodging property on the 1300 block of Lowell Avenue.
  • on Thursday, March 8 at 10:01 p.m., two men were reported to be in a break room intoxicated. They were causing a scene and refused to leave, the police were told. The case was reported on the 1300 block of Lowell Avenue.
  • at 1:14 a.m., a man was reported to be trying to pick a fight and spitting at a window on the 400 block of Main Street. The police classified the case as intoxication.
  • at 12:17 a.m., an intoxication case was reported on the 600 block of Main Street. Public police logs did not provide details.
