Alleged voyeur was a coach

Ngo volunteered with PCHS team before becoming a coach last fall

The Park City School District confirmed Jimmy Ngo, the small business owner charged with camera voyeurism, was an assistant coach on the high school women’s soccer team.

Tim McConnell, human resources director, said Ngo began his relationship with the team as a volunteer. The season that ended last fall was his first as a paid staff member.

Like any employee of the district, Ngo passed a background check that accesses both national records, kept by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and local records, McConnell said.

Ngo submitted his resignation shortly after his arrest, saving the district any need to take action, McConnell said.

Accused of planting a digital camera in the ceiling of a women’s restroom, Ngo appeared before a judge on Monday and posted bail of $2,354.50.
