Austin Stobaugh earns father’s Navy wings

PCHS graduate, Stobaugh is also fourth-generation military

Austin Stobaugh, 2005 PCHS graduate, earned his Marine Aviator’s wings in May at Corpus Christi, Texas, Naval Air Station. He was presented with his father’s Navy wings that Robert Stobaugh earned 30 years earlier. Austin is fourth-generation military man. His great Grandfather, Francis Stobaugh, was in the Army Artillery, his grandfather, Warren Stobaugh, was an Air Force Scientist, and his father, Robert, was a Naval Aviator. Austin is stationed in New River, North Carolina, and will learn how to fly the Marine Corps V-22 tilt rotor aircraft. After training, he will be stationed in Miramar, California.
