Governor announces $10.6 billion budget

On Dec. 4 Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. released his revised budget for the state. Current projections for state revenue for the 2010 fiscal year are $720.6 million lower than previously anticipated. That’s a deficit $100 million greater than that for 2009, for which a special session was called last September to correct.

Newpark Zions Bank hires branch manager

Zions Bank has hired Stephanie Sherrell as branch manager of its Newpark office, located at 1483 Newpark Blvd. Sherrell is responsible for business development, customer service and overall management of the branch and its staff. She has 23 years of banking expertise.
