New safety video for Latino workers

The Utah Labor Commission, in cooperation with the Center for Educational Programming, has produced a 30-minute educational television program in Spanish with English subtitles that reviews workplace safety.

The program is entitled, "Por el Bien de los Suyos" or "For the Sake of Your Loved Ones."

The program will be broadcast on UEN-TV, Channel 9, on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 7:30 p.m. and on Oct. 4, at 4:30 a.m. Copies can be obtained from the Utah Labor Commission at 160 E. 300 South #300, Salt Lake City, 801-530-6800.

Fight cancer at Dress Barn

This October, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Dress Barn will contribute profits from the sale of "Chloe," a plush dog, to the American Cancer Society’s local and national breast cancer initiatives.

"Chloe" will retail for $5, and Dress Barn will donate a minimum of $2.50 from the sale of each dog from Oct. 1 through Dec. 15, or while supplies last. The Park City store is at the Tanger Outlet Center.

Furburbia enlarges space today

Summit County Friends of Animals relocates their Furburbia pet adoption center today to a new location at the Tanger Outlet Center. This brand new, larger space has been generously donated by Tanger Outlet Center.

New rentals at Christy Sports

Beginning Sept. 27, Christy Sports began its season ski rental program. Prices will vary from $89 to $169 depending upon the type of package that is chosen including: performance, sport or junior.

Christy Sports will offer rental packages for children and adults for both snowboarding and skiing.
