Main Street Business Alliance meeting this Wednesday

The Historic Main Street Business Alliance will hold its annual meeting on April 8 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 at the Kimball Art Center. Topics will include updates from the city, Park City Chamber/Bureau and the Main Street Business Alliance on the current economic forecast, season in review and the Alliance’s 2009 goals and proposed budgets for its Business District. All businesses in the historic district of Main Street, Swede Alley and Park Avenue are welcome to attend. Please RSVP to by April 5.

Reminder of name change

Park City Lodging, Inc. would like to remind the community that it is no longer R&R Properties. The name change was official in June, but is still causing confusion, company directors said. 2009 also marks the 25th anniversary of the company.

Farm loans have been distributed

The USDA Farm Service Agency in Utah announced today that it has obligated all of the $173 million provided in the Recovery Act for its Direct Operating Farm Loan Program. The majority of the money went to beginning farmers and socially disadvantaged producers. There were $4.1 million in loans made to 67 borrowers in Utah. Applications were considered on a first come, first served basis. The maximum loan amount was $300,000.
