Black Diamond Soccer Club captures LaRoca Cup
The Park City girls’ U15/16 Black Diamond Soccer Club (BDSC) team came out on top again at the LaRoca Cup in Layton July 18-21.
After a great showing in Steamboat Springs, Colo., the previous weekend, the girls were rested and ready. The BDSC girls came out in the LaRoca Cup ready to play, winning their group games 5-0, 2-1, and 3-0 to advance to the tournament semifinals.
beating the Firebirds 2-1 in the semifinals, the Black Diamond girls made their way into the finals against Wasatch Soccer Club. The score was tied at zero at the half, but the Park City girls came out strong in the second half, scoring two goals in the first 10 minutes, leading to another championship title for the Black Diamond Soccer Club.
