Brief: Rocky Mountain unemployment high


A recent report from Zions Bank shows, as of July, all seven states in the Rocky Mountain/Great Basin region have almost double the unemployment rate of a year ago. Nevada leads with nearly a 13 percent unemployment rate. Most states are up two to four points. Utah’s rate recently reached six percent despite optimism nationally for the start of a recovery.
