The Park City Education Foundation Benefit Day has been postponed from Friday, Nov. 18, to Dec. 2. Tickets are $20. This Friday, students will still have early release, but they won’t on Dec. 2. Academic accolades

Ryan Michael Hart from Park City was honored as a Sarah and James Bowdoin Scholar at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. Hart is in the top 20 percent of his class. Self-defense class Silver Mountain Sports Club is offering a free women’s self-defense class every Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. Participants do not have to be a member or have any experience to attend. It is sponsored by "GurlFytrz" (girl-fighters ) a non-profit organization to create awareness about, and help stop abuse. For more information, call 866-740-7095or go online to Horseshoe remodel Park City High School wants to notify parents who drop students off in the "horseshoe" behind the school that the area will be closed in November due to construction. Students can still get dropped off behind the building, but school officials recommend doing so on Lucky John Drive at the wide part of the road with the turnoff on the east of the school.
