Latino parent information night

A Latino parent information night will be held on Thursday, May 25 from 6-8 p.m. at McPolin Elementary School. Immigration lawyers Dorani Rodriguez Baltazar and Scott Poston will be there to provide information and answer questions.

A summer activities fair will also be held during the evening advertising programs offered by Arts-Kids, Basin Recreation, the National Ability Center and various sports camps. All information will be presented in Spanish for the Latino community in the area.

Graduation announcements

Laura A. Wilkinson graduated from Chapman University, Orange, Calif., with a bachelor of arts in communication studies. Wilkinson, a 2002 graduate of Park City High School, will work for International Creative Management, Inc. (ICM) in Los Angeles.

James L. Stith, a 2002 Park City High School alumnus, graduated May 15 from the University of Pennsylvania in economics and international relations. While at the university, Stith distinguished himself by graduating summa cum laude. He has accepted a position with Lehman Brothers and will be living in Los Angeles.

Online Math Leagues

The fourth-grade Online Math League Teams at Jeremy Ranch Elementary and McPolin Elementary were recently awarded plaques from PATHS for placing in the top 10 percent of teams nationwide. Fourth-grader Zach Laufer, from Jeremy Ranch, was presented a trophy from the league for an outstanding individual performance.
