The primary election results for North Summit School District seat four show two candidates within one vote of each other. Thomas Toole, who received 37 votes, edged out Terry Black who earned 36 votes. As a result Toole advances to the general election in November with Philip Geary while Black will not.

According to Summit County Clerk Sue Follett, Black has until next Wednesday to request a recount. As of Thursday morning she has not.

Primary election results for seat five in North Summit School District

Jana Ross (Incumbent) – 81 votes

Vern Williams – 123 votes

Lane Wardrop – 38 votes

Williams and Ross will advance to the general elections.

Car Wash

Marriott Summit Watch will host a car wash on Thursday, July 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All proceeds will go to The Children’s Miracle Network. Enter the Summit Watch entrance located off of Deer Valley Drive. The cost is $8 for SUV’s and trucks, and $5 for cars.
