The Park City School Board will meet at 6 p.m. on Aug. 15. They will vote on whether or not to approve a new tax rate and hear a variety of requests including one to install a new scoreboard on Dozier Field.

Girl Scout fundraiser

Girl Scouts of Utah is hosting the Camping for a Cause women’s retreat, a fundraising effort, on Sept. 15-16. The event is being hosted at Camp Cloud Rim, Girl Scouts of Utah’s camp outside of Park City.

Summit County Library end-of-summer reading parties

The Summit County Library is hosting end of summer reading parties this week.

In Kamas the celebration will be held on Aug. 16 at 10:30 a.m. For more information call (435) 783-4350 ext. 3080.

In Coalville the celebration will be held on Aug. 17 at 10:30 a.m. For more information call (435) 336-3070.

Dean’s List

Brad Baker and Blaine Baker, twin brothers and Park City High School 2003 alumni, were named to the Dean’s List for spring semester at their separate colleges.

Brad is majoring in mathematics at Colorado State University, and Blaine is in the supply chain management business program at the University of Nevada Reno.
