The Park City and Heber City Chamber/Bureaus will hold an "After Hours Mixer" Thursday, June 14 at the Jordanelle State Park Marina from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be food, drinks, live entertainment as well as complimentary sailboat, wakeboard and pontoon boat rides. RSVP to 658-9619.

American Cancer Society to host "A Midsummer’s Dream" Gala

The Wasatch Front Metro Office of the American Cancer Society will hold its "A Midsummer’s Dream" Gala on Saturday June 16 at the Grand America Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City beginning at 6:30 p.m. Robert H. Graff, CEO of Ken Garff Automotive Group is serving as the Gala’s Honorary Chair. The Gala is presented by Regence BlueCross/ BlueShield of Utah. Other major corporate sponsors include Varian Medical, Ken Garff Automotive Group and Intermountain Healthcare. Media partners for the event are ABC4/CW30 Television and Salt Lake Magazine.

"A Midsummer’s Dream" Gala will take you back into the world of Shakespeare. Medieval themed decorations and wandering minstrels will greet all our guests. The evening will progress through a fine dinner, silent and live auctions, awards presentations and performances.

Entertainment will include a baroque recorder ensemble, a quartet of madrigal singers and magical troupe of miniature fairies. A highlight of the evening will be the opportunity to bid on crystals that were part of the Macy’s chandelier that was recently taken down for reconstruction of the downtown malls.
