Postal rate expo

A postal rate change is on the horizon and the Utah Postal Customer Council will hold its annual Postal Expo on Tuesday, April 10, at the Davis Conference Center, 800 W. Heritage Park Blvd, in Layton, Utah.

Seminars on the new shape and weight-based postal rates and new addressing requirements for business mailers, are two of six business presentations being offered at Postal expo 2007. Other business session topics include: Your own home post office, new ideas for direct mail campaigns, dealing with stress at home and work, and a Postal Inspection Service presentation on protecting the mail and customers. Vendors in Utah will be exhibiting the very latest in mailing technology and services. Keynote speaker at the event will be U.S. Postal Service Vice President Customer Service Susan Plonkey from Washington D.C., who will talk on what is new and changing in the Postal Service.

The Postal Expo is open to everyone. Registration forms for the Expo are available by calling (801) 974-2550, or by e-mail at . The cost for the event is $50 per person or $45 each for three or more representatives from the same company. The price includes a continental breakfast and lunch. The Postal Expo will begin at 7:15 a.m., providing an opportunity to visit the exhibitors on hand to share information on their products and services.

Added airline

Million Air-Salt Lake City announced the addition of a Gulfstream G150 to its fleet. Million Air-SLC was retained to acquire and manage the aircraft bringing the total number of aircraft in our fleet to fourteen. The Gulfstream G150 is a mid-size jet with the capability to fly nonstop from coast to coast with superior speed and fuel efficiency. The Gulfstream G150 can fly up to eight passengers and offers wide-cabin features. The new addition further diversifies Million Air’s current fleet which includes aircraft from Lear, Raytheon, Pilatus and Cessna, as well as Gulfstream. The aircraft will be operated under Million Air-SLC’s FAR Part 135 operating certificate.
