Stein Eriksen Lodge awarded AAA Five Diamond rating

AAA awarded Stein Eriksen Lodge and The Grand America Hotel the travel authority’s highest rating, the Five Diamond award this month. This is the sixth consecutive year Stein Eriksen has received the award.

Only 100 hotels and 60 restaurants in North America received this year’s Five Diamond Award. These winners make up just 0.27 percent of the 60,000 Diamond Rated® lodgings and restaurants throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

The assignment of an AAA rating of one to five diamonds marks the completion of a successful annual evaluation. All properties must first meet AAA’s rigorous requirements and guidelines during an evaluation by one of AAA’s 65 full-time professional inspectors to become AAA approved. Five Diamond establishments go through additional extensive inspections and final committee review. AAA experts judge lodgings on the exterior of the facility, public areas, guest rooms, amenities and bathrooms. Restaurants are evaluated on criteria including food, service, décor and ambience.
