New GM for Park City hotel

The owners of Hotel Park City and Ruth’s Chris Steak House announce the appointment of Guy Morris as Vice President & General Manager of Hotel Park City.

Morris moved to Park City in the fall of 2002 to open the property. In his previous role he directed the marketing, sales and public relations for the hotel.

Hotel Park City is an all-suite ski, golf and spa resort located on the Park City Golf Club. It is Utah’s only member of The Leading Hotels of the World and has the designation by Conde Nast Traveler as a "Top 11 ski hotel" in North America.

Don’t pour oils, fats down drain

The Snyderville Basin Water Reclamation District (SBWRD) would like to remind everyone not to pour cooking grease, oil, and fats down the drain. When grease, oil, and fats are poured down the drain, they clog the pipes downstream of homes or businesses. When wastewater lines become clogged, wastewater can back-up into homes and businesses.

As an alternative, place grease, oil, and fats in a can or other container and dispose with your trash.

Removing excessive grease, oil, and fats from the wastewater system is expensive and can harm the local water reclamation facilities.

Sky’s the limit for lodge

Park City’s Sky Lodge, is featured in the May Condé Nast Traveler’s Hot List as one of the World’s Top New 136 Hotels.

The feature, which is compiled every year, selects hotels based on numerous criteria, including the most stylish, most innovative, and most luxurious.

The Sky Lodge is one of only 20 properties in North America included on the list.

New ski in/ski out in Deer Valley for ’10

The resort plans to open in the fall of 2010.

The resort includes two restaurants and two lounge facilities, indoor meeting and function spaces, extensive outdoor function lawn areas for the summer season, retail shops, an outdoor swimming pool and terraces, full-service spa, indoor family recreation areas and ski concierge and skier services facilities.

In addition to the 173 guest room and suites, the property includes 80 whole-ownership residences in the upper floors of the resort lodge.
