Allen J. Couey, of Kamas, plant manager of Bard Access Systems, has received the prestigious Charles Russell Bard Award, an honor recognizing outstanding character, abilities, and achievements. According to a press release, in his role as plant manager, Couey is generally the first one to arrive at the office and one of the last to leave. Working countless weekends, ensuring that the needs of his customers are met, and taking care of all the pressing matters involving Bard’s facilities, Couey is a tremendous example of Bard’s core value of quality.

HIGH WEST RELEASES LIMITED EDITION MANHATTAN

On May 16, High West Distillery released its limited edition "The 36th Vote – Barreled Manhattan" at the Manhattan Cocktail Classic in New York City during the event’s "Make Mine With Rye" seminar, hosted by High West. The Barreled Manhattan will be available in limited quantities throughout the country. It first debuted in December 2010 at High West’s Repeal Day Celebration in Park City.

PARK CITY FOOD AND WINE CLASSIC JULY 7 – 10

The seventh annual Park City Food and Wine Classic returns to the Wasatch Mountains July 7 through 10. According to a press release: "The event promises a long weekend full of delectable fare and entertainment. The Park City Food and Wine Classic exhilarates the senses of aficionados and novices, and brings together guests with renowned winemakers, culinary experts and distinguished guests to play, wine and dine amid Park City’s lush mountain settings."
