Chamber/Bureau courts L.A. meeting planners

According to a press release, the Park City Chamber/Bureau hosted a successful event for 31 meeting planners in Los Angeles the first week of February. The event provided an opportunity for meeting planners to learn more about the Park City meeting and convention product at an exclusive lunch held at the Montage Beverly Hills Feb. 4. These In-Market receptions are extremely beneficial to the Chamber/Bureau and provide an excellent opportunity to meet and network with key decision makers and planners who are responsible for bringing meetings and conventions to Park City, it said.

Tanger’s Pink Card raised almost $15,000

The Tanger Outlet Center in Park City has awarded a gift of $14,767 to the Salt Lake City headquarters of the American Cancer Society. The donation is part of Tanger’s Annual Breast Cancer Awareness campaign, in conjunction with the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk and campaign. Tanger’s 2009 campaign ran through Oct. 20 with funds raised through the sale of the Tanger Pink Card, a $1 donation in exchange for a pink discount card that gave them 25 percent bonus savings at participating stores.

Local architect honored for kitchen design

William Mammen of Mammen Associates Architecture in Park City was the regional winner in the 2008-09 Sub-Zero/Wolf national kitchen design contest. Roth Distributing, the local distributor for Sub-Zero and Wolf kitchen appliances, gave the award for Mammen’s kitchen in the Rinn Residence in the Park City area.
