LiVe Well Center talks weight loss

The Park City Medical Center LiVe Well Team is inviting the community to an interactive event scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. at 7 p.m. The event focuses on healthy weight loss, featuring guest speakers including medically licenses physicians, physiologists and nutritionists that work at the center. Attendees can participate in the interactive event, learning how to create a healthier body, eating right and beginning the weight loss process.

Economic Forecast Luncheon

The Park City Chamber/Bureau is scheduled to host the 2013 Economic Forecast Luncheon on Tuesday, Feb. 5 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event, which is sponsored by Zions Bank, will focuses on the economy and where the ski industry is headed in 2013. The keynote speaker is Andrew Busch, a nationally-known economics expert, and Global Currency and Public Policy Strategist for BMO Capital Markets’ Investment Banking Division in Chicago, according to the chamber. The Economic Forecast Luncheon will be held at the Park City Marriott Hotel, located at 1895 Sidewinder Drive. Lunch is included as part of the event. The cost is $27 if attendees register by Tuesday, Jan. 22; $30 if attendees register between Jan. 23 and Feb. 4; and $37 on the day of the event. Tables of 10 are available for $240. Powdr Corp. comes to PC

The mountain resort and action sports camp Powdr Corp. announced the creation of a new business that will be located in Park City. The new business Powdr Enterprises will focus on events, sponsorships and media opportunities and help leverage the Powdr family of brands including Powdr Resorts, Woodward Camps and Outside Television, according to a press release. Powdr Enterprises will be headquartered in Park City, Utah and will begin operations in the spring of 2013. Powdr Corp. is a leading mountain resort and actions sports camp owner and operator in North America. Headquartered in Park City, Utah, Powdr currently owns and operates eight mountain resorts including Park City Mountain Resort and Gorgoza tubing Park in Park City, Utah; Killington Resort and Pico Mountain in Killington, Vermont; Mt.
