Curves partners with American Wholehealth Network

Park City’s Curves recently announced that Curves International Inc., one of the world’s largest franchisor of fitness clubs, announced today it has partnered with American WholeHealth Network (AWHN), one of the nation’s largest complementary health and wellness companies, to be the premier fitness provider for their covered benefit package.

Under this wellness program, which will initially be available in 31 states, a significant portion of the cost of the monthly gym membership fee will be covered by the health plan. Insured members will have access to the Curves fitness network of more than 8,000 clubs throughout the United States, according to the company.

Curves offers a 30-minute workout that combines strength training and sustained cardiovascular activity through safe and effective hydraulic resistance. U.S. Count Votes, now a 501(c)(3) charitable organization started by Parkite Kathy Dopp, is poised to build a new national election data archive system for analyzing U.S. vote count data after polls close and prior to candidates’ conceding or being sworn into office.

According to Dopp, U.S. election systems give insiders freedom to tamper with vote counts because no independent audits are performed and election data is publicly reported in a way that hides evidence of vote fraud.

The organization needs to raise funds to hire programming staff to help detect probable vote miscounts in states like Utah and to help protect voters’ rights.

U.S. Count Votes has four, primarily academic, mathematical directors on its board, and needs five additional directors with complementary skills. Volunteers and donations of all types are welcome. Entrepreneur Magazine recognized the Salt Lake City-based Hawaiian-style coffee franchise, the Bad Ass Coffee Company as the 196th top global franchise company in America and the 349th top franchise company in America for the fourth consecutive year. The franchise coffee company reports it was the only franchise based in Utah who made Entrepreneur’s Top 500 list.

Bad Ass Coffee started franchising in 1998 when Michael Bilanzich and Harold Hill moved the Bad Ass Coffeee Company’s headquarters from Kona, Hawaii to Salt Lake City, Utah. The Bad Ass Coffee Company has more than doubled in the past five years, and has franchise locations throughout the United States, Korea and Japan.

The company says it has recently signed agreements with several individuals and companies to franchise nearly 200 more stores throughout North America, including areas such as Nevada, Arizona, Florida and Oregon.
