Party for Recycle Utah volunteers planned
Britte Kirsch, volunteer coordinator for Recycle Utah, recently announced a pre-summer Volunteer Appreciation and Orientation Party June 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mangelsen Images of Nature Gallery at 364 Main Street. It is for people currently volunteering and for people interested in learning more about the service opportunities available. Olympic Park wins marketing awards
The Utah Office of Tourism and the Utah Tourism Industry Coalition recognized achievements in marketing at its annual conference in Logan in mid-May. This was the fifth year of recognizing marketing achievements. The Utah Olympic Park won for its blog in the social media category, for its snow globe in the specialty item category and for a trade show booth. The Park City Chamber/Bureau won in the public relations campaign category for its Beverly Hills reception organized to introduce Park City to people in the Los Angeles area.
Victory Ranch Golf has new director of instruction
The Victory Ranch Golf Club located on the south side of the Provo River near Francis recently announced the addition of Doug Roberts to its team of professional leaders as the director of instruction. Roberts will oversee the development and education of the Victory Ranch golf community for its members and guests. Roberts has over 21 years of professional golfing experience. He has conducted over 500 golf schools in 11 countries and 27 states across the country. He received the 2009 Teacher of the Year award from the Utah Section of the PGA of America.
