Free paper shredding this Saturday
America First Credit Union is sponsoring its fourth annual "Shred-Your-Stuff Saturday." The shredding session will take place locally at The Park City Market on Snow Creek Drive from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 19. Shredding trucks will be available in the parking lots. There is no limit to how much paper people can shred at this free event.
Zions Bank employees paint 316 Ontario
Participating in Zions Bank’s 20th annual "Paint-A-Thon" in Park City, company employees are spending two hours each evening Monday through Wednesday painting and helping with landscaping at the home of elderly Old Town residents Cathleen and Craig Savage at 316 Ontario. The home has been in the family for decades, said a bank spokesperson.
Gasoline prices falling again
According to UtahGasPrices.com, average retail gasoline prices in Utah have fallen 3.4 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.91 per gallon this week. This compares with the national average that has fallen 1.9 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.70 per gallon. Including the change in gas prices in Utah during the past week, prices yesterday were 36.7 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 17.9 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The national average has decreased 18.0 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 5.9 cents per gallon higher than this day a year ago.
