Sundance Documentary Film Series unveils schedule

The 2006-2007 Sundance Institute Documentary Film Series, supported by the Summit County Recreation, Arts, and Parks Program, features eight feature-length documentary films, all from the 2006 Sundance Film Festival. Presented in association with the Park City Film Series, the program launches with the recipient of the Special Jury Prize, "American Black Out," one of the most talked about films from the 2006 festival. Documentary films have been increasingly popular with festival audiences, and this series is an opportunity for Park City locals to discover and experience films they may have missed at the festival.

The series also highlights the wide range of stories that are being explored by documentary filmmakers. Each screening is followed by an open forum discussion with a variety of guests including filmmakers, critics, and the subjects of the film. Sundance Institute Documentary Film Series screenings are held at 7 p.m. the first Thursday of every month from October 2006 through June 2007 excluding February when the Sundance Institute presents the Sundance Film Festival’s Best of Fest screenings. Screenings will be held in the Jim Santy Auditorium in the Park City Library, 1255 Park Avenue. Admission to all screenings is free.
