Luxury Home Tour and Auction
The 21st Luxury Home Tour and Auction is scheduled to be held Thursday, June 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Tour of Homes scheduled for Saturday August 12. The first Tour was held in 1991 as a way for the Park City Board of Realtors to give back to the community. Proceeds of the annual event benefits Peace House, a local nonprofit dedicated to ending family violence and abuse in the community through education, outreach, support services and its shelter. Tickets for the auction cost $150 per person or 1,500 for a table of 10. Sponsor tables cost 2,000. The 2012 auction will kick-off with a dinner at La Caille . No Name Saloon Retail Release Party
The No Name Saloon and Grill is scheduled to host a Retail Release Party Thursday June 21 starting at 4 p.m. where the first 500 guests will receive a free water bottle and other gifts. Court of Master Sommeliers Wine and Spirits Lessons
On July 9 and 10, the Court of Master Sommeliers will offer an intensive, two-day instruction and training session at Montage Deer Valley to educate students on the art and science of wine and spirits, according to a press release from the organization. A select group of the world’s experts on the topic who will instruct the Introductory Sommelier Course as part of the organization’s mission statement, to encourage improved standards of beverage knowledge and service in hotels and restaurants. Individuals interested in the Introductory Certification should have a prior knowledge of controlee laws and vinification methods of wine regions worldwide as well as basic beer and spirits production knowledge.
