Economic Task Force considered by legislative committees
Members of the Utah Legislature’s Senate Workforce Services and Community and Economic Development Standing Committee discussed a recently passed house bill that would create the first Economic Development Task Force in Utah.
"The intent of this would be to bring all of the groups that have a significant role to play in," said the bill’s original sponsor, Rep. Brad Wilson, "and have them participate with the task force and help the task force create the initiatives that we’re going to tackle over the next couple of years."
The bill passed unanimously in the senate committee meeting Wednesday, moving to the Senate Floor with a favorable recommendation.
