American Cancer Society holds skiing event in Park City

Skiers and snowboarders can enjoy Canyons Resort slopes and fight cancer at the same time, according to a press release from the American Cancer Society, which is scheudled to host a fundraising event in Utah. The Ski-lay For Life, a skiing and snowboarding challenge at Canyons Resort on March 9, is a family-friendly, picture-taking competition at Canyons Resort. Participation works where individuals can form teams, register online, raise funds, then come to Canyons Resort on March 9, where they will receive an all-day ski pass for $35 to participate in the challenge. Funds raised at Ski-lay For Life will help cancer patients get well, stay well, find cures and fight back through prevention, treatment, quality of life programs, and cancer research, the release continued. The picture competition requires skiers to slalom their way around event/sponsor banners strategically placed on the slopes of the Canyons Resort, and then take a picture of themselves at each of these locations. The team with the most points at the end of the ski-day will receive prizes. The team that raises the most money before the event will get the privilege of skiing early and making first tracks on the slopes of Canyons.
