Car broken into while driver on hike off King Road

A car thief reportedly struck while a woman was hiking in the mountains ringing Old Town.

According to the Park City Police Department, the woman left the vehicle parked on King Road when she went hiking. When she returned, she found that someone had broken in the vehicle and stolen her purse.

She told the police she had hidden the purse inside the vehicle before she left.

The Police Department received the report at 1:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2.

King Road is a small street at the southern edge of Old Town. There are numerous trails that can be reached from King Road, and it is a popular departure point for hikers and mountain bikers.
