Child critically injured in an ATV accident
The boy was with his family near Coalville
An 11-year-old boy is in critical condition after an ATV accident near Coalville.
According to Summit County Detective Sergeant Ron Bridge, the boy was with his family and a larger group of people about 14 miles east of Coalville when his ATV rolled around 4 p.m. Another 11-year-old was on the ATV with him at the time but was not seriously injured in the accident.
Bridge said the boy was wearing a helmet but it fell off during the accident. The child is in critical condition but no injuries were being disclosed as of Tuesday evening. A medical helicopter responded to the scene and took the child to a Wasatch Front hospital.
The name of the boy was not available.
