City Council meets on Thursday

Mayor Dana Williams and the Park City Council are scheduled to hold a 50-minute discussion on Thursday about the upcoming reconstruction of Bonanza Drive, one of the highlights of the meeting.

The meeting starts at 3 p.m. in Room 205 of the Park City Library and Education Center. The Bonanza Drive discussion is tentatively scheduled to start at 5 p.m., and the elected officials expect to take testimony.

City Hall plans to redo Bonanza Drive in an effort to unclog the road and make it safer for pedestrians and bicyclists. A water line will be installed underneath the road as well. Work is slated to start in the summer. Some people with businesses along Bonanza Drive are worried about the effects of the construction.

Other items the elected officials are slated to take up on Thursday include:

The budget, with a discussion scheduled to start at about 3:15 p.m. A hearing is scheduled sometime soon after 6 p.m.

An agreement with the Park City Foundation to develop a Web site tracking carbon emissions and water use.
