City Council meets on Thursday

The Park City Council is scheduled to meet on Thursday, with the start of talks about the municipal budget highlighting the meeting and a number of decisions unrelated to the budget also planned.

Some of the items on the agenda include:

A resolution declaring May 9-May 17 ‘National Tourism Week," which recognizes the importance of the tourism industry in Park City. The elected officials are also expected to declare May 15 Peace Officers Memorial Day and May 10-16 National Police Week. Similar resolutions typically are not controversial.

The consideration of a contract with a firm called Vision Internet to work on City Hall’s Web site. The deal is valued at $36,729.

The consideration of a lease with the Pig Pen Saloon to be the concessionaire at the Quinn’s Junction sports complex fields. The deal would cover three years and rent is set at $6,000 per year.

A work session starts at 3:50 p.m. in Room 205 of the Park City Library and Education Center. The regular meeting is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
