City Planning Commission chairman will resign soon

by Jay Hamburger, of The Record staff

Jack Thomas, the chairman of the Park City Planning Commission, will resign from the influential panel soon, several people with knowledge of his decision said on Thursday. A formal announcement of his departure is expected as early as later Thursday. Thomas did not immediately return a phone message seeking comment. According to Tom Eddington, City Hall’s Planning director, Thomas submitted his resignation letter to Mayor Dana Williams and the Park City Council. Eddington said Thomas has agreed to remain on the panel until he is replaced. City Councilors reached midmorning Thursday either said they were unaware of the upcoming resignation or had little information about his decision.
