Robert Glenn Ketchum encore
Artist, writer, and conservation advocate, Robert Glenn Ketchum has been featured in the Main Gallery at the Kimball Art Center since June 6 and will continue through July 21. Ketchum’s exhibit, From/For Nature includes contemporary landscape photographs and nature inspired embroideries on an epic scale. Ketchum will present an encore Art Talk and Book Signing at the Kimball Art Center Monday, July 21st from 6-7 p.m. as he concludes his exhibition in the Main Gallery.
Free grant-writing workshop
On July 16 from 2 to 4 p.m., the Utah Humanities Council (UHC), in collaboration with the Wasatch County Library, will be hosting an outreach meeting and grant writing workshop for nonprofit organizations, cultural and educational institutions, and government entities in Wasatch and Summit counties. In addition to talking about the variety of resources UHC has to offer public organizations, Brandon Johnson, UHC’s Director of Grants and Historical Programs, will also seek public input about issues and concerns UHC should address as part of its programming. General grant writing strategies and UHC’s grant program will also be presented.
Free Family Fun Day at Utah Olympic Park
Enjoy a Free Family Fun Day at the Alf Engen Ski Museum and Joe Quinney Winter Sports Center at Utah Olympic Park on Saturday from 2 -6 p.m. Activities include face painting, Wheel O’ Fun giveaways, docent-led tours and half-price park rides incluiding the Xtreme and Ultra zip-lines, Quicksilver Alpine Slide, and Comet Bobsled.
