Park City Film Series

The Park City Film Series will present Darren Aronofsky’s Academy Award-winning "Black Swan" in the Jim Santy Auditorium at the Park City Library, 1233 Park Avenue. The film is rated R and stars Natalie Portman, who plays a ballerina in a New York City ballet company. When the artistic director decides to cast her for "Swan Lake," she is faced with competition from another young dancer and a variety of inner demons. Showtimes are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 6 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $7 for general admission and $6 for students and senior citizens. Youth Theatre auditions

Auditions for "The Boxcar Children," Egyptian Theatre’s Youth Theatre Spring Production, will be held on Saturday, March 5, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the theatre, 328 Main Street. Callbacks will also be on Saturday; that time will be announced to auditioners if necessary. "The Boxcar Children" contains feature roles for two girls and two boys ages 7 through 16. The production also has roles for three mature teen/adult women and three teen/adult men ages 16 and up. Auditions are open to all ages seven and older. Please come prepared with a one to two-minute memorized monologue in any style. Younger actors can use a poem. A photo and résumé are recommended. Newcomers’ Monthly Coffee Meeting

Researcher and ghost hunter Erik Hutchins, co-owner of P.C. Ghost Tours, will speak at the Newcomer’s Monthly Coffee Meeting on Wednesday, March 9, at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Park City Community Church.

Life in Transition Workshops

Join Marge Bowen and Colleen Oshier for a workshop that provides some tools and advice to help with motivation, physical and mental health. The first program is an Introductory class that is followed by an in-depth, one-day workshop that moves you into clarity and action.
