Art Talk at the Kimball
Join the Kimball Art Center and Professor James Swenson for a free Art Talk, Nov. 18, at 6 p.m., exploring the early works of Ansel Adams and the crossroads of modernism. Recently there has been a renewed interest in Adams’ early work due, in large part, to the discovery of glass plates believed (and hoped) to be the work of the famous photographer. This presentation will reexamine this important and often neglected phase of Adams’ career and will focus on the ways in which it developed the eye and temperament of the first, and possibly last, household name in photography. The Art Talk is free and open to the public.
