The Main Street Music Crawl

Mountain Town Stages presents the "Main Street Music Crawl" Saturday, Oct. 25. Participants will meet at The Star Bar, 268 Main St., at 7 p.m. for live music featuring Swagger. At 9:30, participants parade down Main Street to Miner’s Park for another music performance. Then it’s off to the clubs to enjoy live music at The Sidecar, Shabu and The Spur. This is a "fun" fund-raiser. All proceeds go to benefit Mountain Town Stages, a non-profit organization. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door and are available at Orion’s Music and at our website http://www.mountaintownstages.com. With a pass to the event you will receive admission to the Star Bar Kickoff Party, a swag bag and admission to the venues.

Bid for items online with Jans Winter Welcome

Don’t miss your opportunity to participate in the 28th Annual Jans Winter Welcome Auction online. Preview the auction, bid early and even buy out your favorite items. Bidding in the Jans Winter Welcome online auction is open to any interested party and is not restricted to guests attending the gala. The online auction can be viewed at http://ywsa.cmarket.com. Bidding closes at 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23. Guests may also enter a maximum bid which will enable them to participate in the auction as absentee bidders the night of the event. The 28th Annual Jans Winter Welcome will be held on Saturday, October 28th at Silver Lake Lodge. The gala is presented by Bill White Enterprises Restaurant Group and is hosted by Jans and Deer Valley Resort. The Utah Symphony presents a Halloween concert for families

Join the Utah Symphony as they present the 18th Annual Halloween Concert with a "spooktacular" performance on Saturday, Oct. 25th at 7 p.m. featuring excerpts from Humperdinck’s opera "Hansel and Gretel." The whole family will enjoy watching as Hansel and Gretel try to escape from an evil witch who cooks and eats children after she lures them to her home made of gingerbread. Egyptian costume closet sale

The Egyptian Theatre plans to hold a costume sale just in time for Halloween. The sale will be held Friday, Oct. 24, from 11 a.m. 5 p.m. in the third floor Edwina room. Get the perfect costume for Halloween at the Egyptian. Many items are less than $5. The sale offers complete costume sets, giant penguin suits, medieval and flapper outfits and various hats and accessories. Egyptian Theatre is located at 328 Main St.
