Final spirituality book-club meeting

Join Summit County Library patrons to discuss the third and final book in a series sponsored by the Utah Humanities Council. The book is "The Heart of the Buddha’s Teaching" by Thich Nhat Hanh. Multiple copies of the book and study guide are available at the Summit County Library for check out. Author Lynne Finney will lead the discussion. Park City Mountain Resort opens

Park City Mountain Resort kicks off its summer season Friday, May 22. The Alpine Coaster, Alpine Slide, ZipRider, climbing wall, miniature golf course, horseback riding and mountain hiking and biking trails are some of the activities available. Early season hours for the main base area are 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, noon to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The Friends of the Summit County Libraries will hosts its annual used book sale Memorial Day weekend at the Kimball Junction library. Member Night is Friday, May 22, from 5-8 p.m. Join or renew for $10 and get first pick of thousands of titles in hardback and paperback for adults and children, videos, DVDs and books-on-tape. The public is invited Saturday, May 23, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 24, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday, May 25, from noon to 5 p.m. Bring or buy a "Friends" bag for special pricing. Monday is bargain day; fill a shopping bag for only $5. The sale will be held in the auditorium adjacent to the library, 6505 N. Landmark Drive in Kimball Junction.
