Coming soon: the Winter Sports and Recreation guide

The Park Record invites advertisers for upcoming insert

The tenth annual Park City Winter Sports and Recreation Guide is already in planning and is slated to come out mid-December.

The guide is a glossy magazine offering listings for visitors of what to do and where to go in town during their vacation. It will be inserted into copies of The Park Record and will also be available at over 100 distribution locations throughout the area.

The Record’s Valerie Deming-Lyman predicts about 18,000 copies to be available for about five months through April. The guide helps visitors plan their day activities, choose restaurants and places for drinks. It lists events, party locations and even where to go if they need to buy a Band-aid, she said.

The guide is the Record’s largest special section of the year and has long been popular with people new to town, she said.

Special sections editor A.M. Stofko invites local businesses to request a listing in the guide by no later than Dec. 2 at 5 p.m. Inquiries about the guide can be sent to and she requests the Sports and Recreation guide be mentioned in the subject line. Requests for advertising can be made to Deming-Lyman.
