Contest for best Miners’ Day photos

Submitted by Park City Rotary Club

The Park City Rotary Club wants to thank the entire community (and Mother Nature) for supporting Miners’ Day, the World Famous Running of the Balls fundraiser, and the historical Mucking & Drilling Competition. Miners’ Day 2009 was a phenomenal success.

The weather was great, the crowd was enthusiastic, the bands rocked, the kids’ games were entertaining, the food was delicious, the contestants in the Mucking and Drilling Competition were unbelievable, and the Running of the Balls was exciting. Congratulations to the top three finalists in Running of the Balls: Ashton Forester (who won a season pass to The Canyons), Sara Holden (who won a season pass to Park City Mountain Resort) and Dena Flemming (who won a season pass to Deer Valley Resort).

The Park City Rotary Club is now looking for the best pictures and videos of Miners’ Day 2009. Prizes include day passes to The Canyons and other great items, and will be awarded to the best-of-the-best in the following categories:

Running of the Balls

Miner’s Day Parade

City Park Activities

Mucking & Drilling

The contest will run through Sept. 30, 2009, and the Park City Rotary Club will announce winners by Oct. 9, 2009.

Please send all entries, including still pictures, videos or youtube links to minersday@yahoo.com .
