CAGE will host a "Meet the Candidates" event on Tuesday, June 12 at Shepherd of the Mountain Church on S.R. 224 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. County Council candidates who will be competing in the Primary Election on June 26 have been invited to attend. All the candidates except for Michael Howard have confirmed that they will be at the event. Several candidates for the Park City School Board will also be in attendance. The evening will consist of a question-and-answer session and a reception.
Blood drive to be held at Tanger Outlet
The American Red Cross will be at Kimball Junction to collect blood on Friday, June 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The blood drive will be held at the Tanger Outlets on 6699 North Landmark Drive.
According to Joe Black, donor recruitment representative for Central Utah, "In Utah, someone needs blood every eight minutes. In Utah, the Red Cross serves 31 hospitals, including the Park City Medical Center and must collect about 440 units of blood every day to meet the demand."
Individuals unable to donate blood can still make contributions by organizing a Red Cross blood drive or volunteering. To find the nearest blood drive to you at other times call 1-800-REDCROSS or visit redcrossblood.org.

Park City on Friday began the first steps toward selecting buyers for a workforce or otherwise affordable housing project in the northern reaches of Old Town. It is a process that is expected to draw widespread interest as rank-and-file workers compete to win the right to acquire a unit that would put them a few blocks away from Main Street, City Park and Park City Mountain Resort.
