County deputies seize guns, drugs, cash

Patrick Parkinson, Of the Record staff

Two men, ages 18 and 21, were arrested in Summit Park and booked into jail Monday after deputies seized guns, drugs and about $20,000 in cash.

A search warrant served at 390 Matterhorn Drive revealed the contraband, Summit County Sheriff Dave Edmunds told The Park Record.

From the home, officers took four pistols, two shotguns, a scoped rifle, ammunition, body armor, money and more than a pound of marijuana, he added. Digital scales, computers, digital music players, identifications, credit cards and materials used to package narcotics were also allegedly seized in the early morning raid.

Edmunds said two motorcycles, which were reportedly stolen, were spotted outside the house, prompting the search. The Park Record doesn’t normally print the names of suspects until formal charges are filed.
