County Sheriff’s Report

A Morgan County woman was arrested and booked into the Summit County jail this week after she allegedly forged documents to buy items at Kamas Food Town at 145 W. 200 South where she worked as a pharmacist, the authorities say.

"It wasn’t anything to do with prescription drugs, it was other stuff at the store," said Adam Jones, a police officer in Kamas. "She was using other people’s information to purchase things at the store."

Officers are still investigating the case, he said.

"Right now we’re looking at under $600," Jones said about possible damages in the case. "The only thing we’re looking at, at the felony level, is forgery."

The 34-year-old woman could face two third-degree felony charges for forgery, and four misdemeanor counts of fraudulent use of a credit card and theft, Jones said.
