Crash snarls traffic

Jay Hamburger OF THE RECORD STAFF

An accident on Park Avenue at about 8:45 a.m. Friday snarled traffic on the busy road, and one of the drivers suffered minor injuries, the Park City Police Department says.

Police Chief Lloyd Evans says it appears the two cars involved were traveling southbound, the direction toward Old Town, on the 1700 block of Park Avenue. The collision occurred near the Park Avenue Burger King.

Evans says the drivers disputed each other’s account of the accident. Police investigators by midmorning Friday had not determined which driver is at fault.

Police officers in at least six department sport utility vehicles responded.
