Crosswalk patrols planned

The Park City Police Department on Wednesday plans another set of crosswalk patrols, using a decoy officer to try to catch people who do not stop for pedestrians.

The Wednesday operation’s schedule:

  • The Bonanza Drive-Iron Horse Drive intersection from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
  • Kearns Boulevard outside Park City High School from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.

The Police Department will send a plain-clothes officer into a crosswalk. Drivers who do not yield to the officer could be pulled over.

In a similar operation in June, the police stopped 30 vehicles.
