Cyclist who was found unconscious in Brown’s Canyon dies

A woman who was found unconscious on the side of Brown’s Canyon Road Saturday has died.

South Summit resident JoAnn Krajeski suffered massive head trauma when she apparently crashed while riding her road bicycle downhill toward State Road 32, the authorities said.

The results of an autopsy this week are expected to determine the cause of death, Summit County Sheriff Dave Edmunds said.

Krajeski was found near her bike unconscious on the eastbound side of Brown’s Canyon Road, Edmunds said.

The sheriff does not suspect foul play.

"We did not find any evidence to suggest that," Edmunds said.

The crash occurred about a mile west of S.R. 32 in Peoa. Krajeski was airlifted to a hospital in Salt Lake City.

Krajeski is survived by her husband, David, and their two children. The Krajeskis are known for their support of many Park City arts organizations and a memorial service is being planned for later in the week.
